College of Medicine & Health Sciences
The College of Medicine & Health Sciences, here after referred to as the College, currently comprises four Faculties namely: Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences, Faculty of Health Sciences, Faculty of Basic Clinical Sciences and Faculty of Clinical Sciences.
The College offers programmes which lead to the award of MBBS, BSc (Anatomy), BSc (Physiology) and BNs (Nursing).
The act establishing Bingham University Karu, Nasarawa State Nigeria was enacted in 2005. The University took off in Jos ECWA Theological Seminary as its temporary campus for the 2005/2006 academic session, with teaching commencing in 2006. It started with a college of Medicine and two other Faculties: Science and Technology, Humanities, Social and Management Sciences.
The MBBS programme took off in 2005/2006 session while the B.SC. Physiology and B.SC. Anatomy programmes took off in the 2007/2008 session.
The College is guided by the University philosophy “creating Christ centred graduate”. The University’s goal is to produce total men and women equipped to serve Jesus Christ and humanity in ways that are glorifying to God and dignifying to humanity.
