About the Readers' Services
Readers' Services Department serves the students and staff of the University as well as the visiting researchers in their quest to use the Library's available resources and services. We at the readers' service department are responsible for coordinating the borrowing and renewing of materials, the processing of users' requests, sheving and sorting of books and journals.
Who is eligible to join the Library?
- Anyone that has fully registered with the Library and have His/Her Library Card
What do I need to bring?
- Students: School fees Receipt, Admission Letter and a recent ID photograph.
- Staffs: Employment letter and a recent ID photograph.
How long can I borrow?
- Undergraduates (Freshmen, Returning)
- 2 weeks.
- Postgraduates
- 6 weeks.
- Academic Staffs
- 6 weeks
- Non Academic Staffs
- 4 weeks
All circulating library materials may be recalled by another reader. You will be sent a notice in case this happens
How many books (or other types of loans) can I check out at once?
- Undergraduates (Freshmen, Returning): 4 books/loan
- Postgraduates: 6 books/loan
- Academic Staffs: 6 books/loan
- Non Academic Staffs: 4 books/loan
How much am I charged if I'm late returning a loan?
- Materials that has not been returned immediatedly after the due day will be charged N200 (Two Hundred Naira). te will be charged Undergraduates are generally not charged for regular overdue books. However, the Library appreciates the timely return of books.
- The borrower is responsible for the return or renewal of the book on or before the due date.
- You cannot borrow materials from the Library with another patron Library Card.
