General Church Council Of Ecwa Commends Bingham University For Excellent Performance During Her 71St Meeting Held In Jos.

The 71st General Church Council of ECWA which took place in Jos Plateau State recently, has commended Bingham University for excellent performance . 

 

The President of ECWA, Rev. (Dr.) Stephen Panya Baba, Members of ECWA Board of Trustees and the General Church Council applauded the university for the giant strides recorded.  Some of the areas commended were the expansion of academic programmes and accreditation of programmes, increased students enrollment, research output, collaborations, quality  of training and scholarships.The GCC also commended  for prudent management of resources which has resulted in road network  expansion, infrastructural development amongst other areas of successes recorded. 

 

The university was urged by the General Church Council not to relent in its effort in sustaining the successes so far recorded in order to bridge the gap of human capital for national development.

The commendation came after the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Haruna Kuje Ayuba gave his address to the General Church Council on  activities of the university for the period.

  

In his address Prof. Ayuba expressed his gratitude to ECWA, the General Church Council and Board of Trustees of Bingham University for  appointing him  as the 5th Vice-Chancellor of the university.  He expressed appreciation to all stakeholders for partnering with Bingham University which has led to the university's  growth .

Prof. Ayuba highlighted that since assumption of duty, the university has continued to consolidate on the successes recorded by the last administration of Professor W. B. Qurix . The Vice-Chancellor added that his administration will extend the frontiers of development as contained in the university’s strategic and action plans by focusing on core mandate of  the university in the area of training and research, community service and academic programme development, strengthening partnerships and collaborations, prudent management of resources, improving funding and infrastructure profile, innovative technologies for research and training, improve campus security amongst other areas that could add value to the university.   

 

He further intimated the GCC that more hostels, road network , solarization of boreholes, alternative energy solution options,  green environment are to be worked on for  a conducive academic environment.

 

The Vice-Chancellor was accompanied by some management staff of the university which included the Registrar, Dr. (Mrs.) Esther J. Dyaji, Bursar, Mr. Paul Y. Yusuf, and Director, Public Affairs, Mr. Daburi Bello Misal.
