2. SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
i. Ph.D. Degree Programmes
Candidates seeking admission into the Doctor of Philosophy programme must have an academic master’s degree from Bingham University or any other recognized university with a minimum CGPA of 4.00 on a scale of 5.00.
ii. Masters Degree Programmes
a) Academic Masters
- Candidates for academic master programmes with a first degree from Bingham University or any other recognized university must possess a minimum of Second Class (Lower Division) in the relevant field.
- A relevant Postgraduate Diploma with a minimum CGPA of 3.00 from Bingham University or any recognized university.
b) Professional Masters
- Candidates for professional master degrees must possess a minimum of Second Class (Lower Division) degree in the relevant area from Bingham University Karu or any recognized university.
- A postgraduate diploma in the relevant area not below a classification of Lower Credit from Bingham University or any recognized university could be considered, provided candidates satisfy the conditions for the postgraduate diploma as indicated above.
iii. Postgraduate Diploma Programmes
- A candidate seeking admission into any postgraduate diploma programme must possess a qualification equivalent to a first degree (at least 3rd Class Degree or higher) or,
- A Higher National Diploma (with at least Lower Credit) or its equivalent.
3. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
- All candidates must have five (5) O’ Level credit passes in the required subjects, including Mathematics and English.
- Candidates must complete the Application Form online and upload scanned copies of their credentials such as their National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Discharge or Exemption Certificate.
- Transcripts of Academic Records should be forwarded to: The Secretary, School of Postgraduate Studies, Km 26, Bingham University, Karu, Nasarawa State.
- Candidates are to obtain three (3) letters of Reference and forward them to the above address. The reference letters must come from persons who have either taught or worked with them.
- A printed copy of the completed Application Form and copies of credentials should also be submitted to the School of Postgraduate Studies.
4. APPLICATION PROCEDURE
i. Application forms are available online subject to the payment of a non-refundable fee for the programme of interest as follows:
- Ph.D. Programmes: N30,000
- Master Programmes: N25,000
- Postgraduate Diploma (PGD): N20,000
ii. Mode of Payment
- Log on to the Bingham University website: Check the detailed User guide for details on how to make payments. Visit the University’s website: www.binghamuni.edu.ng/pgadmission.
iii. Begin your application by creating an account, using your email address and a password of your choice by following the link: https://pg.portal.binghamuni.edu.ng/apply
iv. Verify your account and visit the ‘My Payment’ section to pay for your application form. Once payment is successful, you will be given access to the application form.
v. Fill the Application Form, finalize and submit.
