The faculty currently offers a Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) degree program in accordance with the Benchmark Minimum Academic Standard (BMAS) of the National Universities Commission (NUC) and Pharmacy Council of Nigeria (PCN). The program started in the 2017/2018 academic session with 56 pioneer students admitted through the UTME.
Each student must successfully complete all the courses specified by NUC as core and cognate courses, as well as all the courses required by the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria. Additionally, a minimum CGPA of 2.50 is required at the end of the study.
A minimum CGPA of 2.50 is required for graduation with a Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) degree. Candidates with a CGPA equivalent to a First class (4.50 to 5.0) will qualify for Distinction. The degree is unclassified and can be either B.Pharm or B.Pharm with Distinction. A candidate earns a distinction in any pharmacy subject area when their average score in the subject area over the entire degree program is not less than 70%.
Entry into the University is done through the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) conducted by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and the University post UTME exercise. Candidates for admission into the Bachelor of Pharmacy degree program must have the Senior Secondary Certificate or its equivalent.
