Philosophy

We are committed to a comprehensive educational approach that integrates academic excellence with practical training. This approach fosters the development of highly competent healthcare professionals equipped to address diverse healthcare challenges with Christian principles and contribute meaningfully to the advancement of healthcare delivery.

Mission

  • 1. Cultivate a robust foundation in academic knowledge and professional skills for Allied Health Science graduates, empowering them to excel in various healthcare settings – in Nigeria and beyond.
  • 2. Prepare graduates to meet the rigorous standards of the global healthcare landscape and pursue advanced training in specialized fields.
  • 3. Develop leadership potential in graduates, equipping them with the necessary management abilities to assume leadership roles within the healthcare sector. Additionally, foster entrepreneurial skills, enabling graduates to establish themselves and potentially employ others within the legal framework governing their professions.
  • Objectives

    • 1. Bachelor's and Doctors degree programs will equip students with a broad and well-balanced foundation in knowledge and practical skills. This will enable them to perform effectively in various healthcare areas, including clinical diagnostics, preventative and rehabilitative services, therapeutics, public health, academics, and quality assurance. Graduates will be prepared to function independently or collaboratively within healthcare teams, providing exceptional care to individuals and groups across all healthcare settings.
    • 2. Foster an intellectually stimulating and enriching learning environment that emphasizes research, creativity, and innovation.
    • 3. Cultivate a deep enthusiasm for the chosen program of study within each student, while fostering an appreciation for its broad applicability across diverse contexts – encompassing health services, food and beverage industries, pharmaceuticals, utility departments (water corporations, waste management), and research institutions.
    • 4. Develop the ability in students to apply the knowledge and skills acquired within their respective programs to solve theoretical and practical challenges faced in the healthcare sector.
    • 5. Equip students with a strong knowledge and skillset that serves as a springboard for further studies in specialized areas of health sciences.
    • 6. Empower graduates with the necessary entrepreneurial skills to pursue income-generating ventures.

    Goals

    • 1. Forge strategic partnerships and actively engage with communities to demonstrably improve the health and well-being of populations served.
    • 2. Create engaging and intellectually stimulating learning experiences for students, fostering their academic growth and equipping them for success in both professional and personal endeavors.
    • 3. Cultivate a robust research and scholarship environment by fostering a thriving community of innovators.
    • 4. Integrate collaborative interprofessionalism into the faculty culture, ensuring all stakeholders are engaged in transformative interprofessional education and experiences that promote best practices across the healthcare spectrum.
