Handles matters relating to the Academic thrusts of the University such as staffing and academic development programme.

Ensures quality control of the University, guiding each unit on operation of the University Academic brief.

Seeks clarification from National Universities Commission (NUC) on Academic matters and providing such to appropriate sections of the University through the Vice-Chancellor.

Maintains a computer-based Data Bank on students and staff statistics for use in planning, Budgeting and other Management requirements.

Coordinates the preparation of Academic Brief and Periodic Strategic Plans for the University.

Coordinates and collate information to NUC for National Planning purposes.

Promotes the quality of teaching, learning and research in the University through periodic evaluation of academic activities in the University.

Provides academic liaison between Bingham University and External Bodies both local and foreign.

Serves as Member of Senate, Postgraduate School Board, Admissions Committee and any other committee as may be deemed fit by the Vice-Chancellor.
