The Vice-Chancellor Commissions Construction Site For Building Of A New Hostel On Campus To Address Students Accommodation Needs

In a significant stride towards alleviating the accommodation needs in the University, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof Haruna Kuje Ayuba, recently commissioned the construction site for a new student hostel building. This new development is part of the University’s ongoing commitment towards enhancing student welfare and supporting a conducive environment for academic excellence.
The hostel is expected to feature 109 rooms designed to provide comfortable, safe, accommodation for students.
During the commissioning ceremony, the Vice-Chancellor emphasized the institution's dedication to addressing the accommodation needs.
Professor Ayuba further encouraged the contractors to adhere strictly to high standards in constructing the hostel, emphasizing the importance of quality and safety for the students who will reside there. He reiterated that although a timeline has been set, the focus remains on delivering a structure that meets the highest standards of functionality and durability.
Earlier, the Director of Works, Arc. Dogara Ayenajeh, expressed confidence in the team of contractors, noting that they are collaborating with top professionals to ensure a quality result. He assured that every aspect of the project would be carefully managed to meet the University’s expectations for excellence.
The documents for the construction of the hostel was formally signed and handed over to the contractors, by the Vice-Chancellor Prof. Haruna Kuje Ayuba.
In attendance were, the Registrar Mr. Daburi Bello Misal, the Bursar Mr. Paul Yusuf, Ag. Director of Public Affairs Ms Monica Ankeli, Director of works Arc. Dogara Ayenajeh and staff of the department of Physical Planning and Development.
