Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Haruna Kuje Ayuba Embarks On Familiarization Tour To Faculties Of The University

Following his assumption of office as the Vice Chancellor of Bingham University on the 8th of January 2024, Prof. Haruna Kuje Ayuba alongside principal officers of the university embarked on familiarization tour to the faculties of the university.

On the first leg of the tour,the Vice-Chancellor visited the Faculties of Administration, Architecture and Arts where he was recieved by the respective Deans and Staff.

Speaking during the visits, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ayuba stated that he was on a  familiarization visit  to faculties in order to get staff abreast with what management was focusing on, having been appointed   by the University’s Governing Council and Board of Trustees.

While acknowledging the works of his predecessor, Prof. W. B. Qurix, he stated that there was a need for value addition to the efforts of the outgone administration.  Prof. Ayuba stated that his administration will focus on actions plan derived from strategic plan of the university to add value and move the university to greater heights.

Taking his anchor text from the book of Philippians 2:25 the Vice-Chancellor urged staff of the university to see themselves as brothers, co-workers and soldiers with a common interest to fulfill the vision and mission of the founding fathers of the university.

Prof.Ayuba informed the faculties that there would be a staff needs analysis for all departments so that the University could address staff shortages holistically where they exist.

He implored staff and students to shun all forms of vices as the university has zero tolerance for  vices that will have adverse effect  on the image of the university. 

He reminded staff on the need for research collaborations, business modeling, system building, students’ mentoring, clean and green campus and prompt maintenance of facilities amongst others.

Some of the issues and challenges raised by faculty staff members were noted for action by management.
