Biography

I am currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics at Bingham University. With a robust academic foundation comprising a BSc, MSc, and Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Jos, I bring over a decade of extensive experience in academia. My commitment to excellence spans teaching, research, and administrative responsibilities.

Throughout my career, I have effectively supervised and mentored a significant number of undergraduate, masters, and doctoral students, guiding them to successful completions of their programs. My administrative roles have included serving as the Coordinator of Departmental Postgraduate Programs and as a member of the Post Graduate Committee in the Department of Economics at Bingham University. Additionally, I am engaged in shaping national economic policies as a team member of the National Development Plan (2021-2025).

My scholarly contributions include authoring over 50 peer-reviewed journal articles and nearly a dozen conference presentations, enhancing the discourse in both local and international academic circles. I have authored three textbooks: "Applied Statistics and Research Techniques," "A Practical Guide on Data Analysis Using EViews," and "Applied Econometrics: Theory and Empirical Illustrations." My technical skills encompass proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet applications, SPSS, STATA, and E-Views.

As a dedicated member of the Nigeria Economics Society (NES), I have actively participated as a rapporteur at the NES National Conference. My leadership roles have extended to serving as the Acting Head of the Department of Economics at Bingham University. Furthermore, I am an editorial board member of the Asian Journal of Economics, Business, and Accounting (AJEBA), contributing to the advancement of economic scholarship.

I am passionate about fostering an environment of academic rigor and excellence and am keen on continuing to contribute significantly to the field of economics through teaching, research, and community service.
