Biography

I was in charge of the Centre for Strategic Research and Studies, National Defense College Nigeria (NDC). In this role, I headed the NDC's civilian research arm, which had 20 researchers working in four major areas: defense and security studies, area and regional studies, governance and public policy, and conflict, peacekeeping, and humanitarian studies.

As Head (Dean & Provost) of the Centre for Strategic Research and Studies (CSRS), I managed the responsibility of the National Defense College as a training centre of Excellence for training in Peacekeeping for ECOWAS at the strategic level.

I've also traveled to Malaysia (1997), Israel (1999), Brazil (2003), Turkey (2004), Romania (2005), and the United Kingdom as a member of a team (2005). At the West Africa Network on Security and Democratic Governance, I was in charge of organizing training and research on security sector reform and governance (WANSED). I also managed the NDC membership of the African Peace Support Operation Training Association (APSTA) through the CSRS since 2005.

In addition, in 2005, I attended the National War College Nigeria's pioneer Senior Mission Leaders Course (then known as the UN Pilot Course for Senior Mission Leaders). I represented Nigeria at the International Forum for the Challenges of Peace Operations through the CSRS in Hungary and Ireland in 2007, Iran and Pakistan in 2008, Venezuela and Jamaica in 2009, Switzerland and the United Kingdom in 2010, Cameroon and Angola in 2011, Italy and Serbia in 2013, and the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait in 2014. As a Team Member and then Team Lead at the National Defense College, I participated in the Geo-Strategic Tour of Africa and the World.; a network of training institutes that prepare civilians, military, and law enforcement professionals for peacekeeping missions.

Currently at Bingham University, I am responsible for the strategic and academic leadership of learning, teaching, and the student experience in the Faculty's postgraduate provision, as well as the leadership and management of the Graduate School for postgraduate taught and research, student recruitment and admissions.
