Biography
Dr. Adesuwa Agbontaen started his university education at the University of Benin in 1984 where He earned the Doctor of Optometry degree.
He served his fatherland in Kaduna State and started his working life with the Kaduna State Ministry of health as the first and only optometrist for five years. He moved over to Abuja at the expiration of his contract.
Dr. Adesuwa has served his professional association faithfully for many years in various capacities.
He is a past National Secretary of the Nigerian Optometric Association and Treasurer of the Africa Council of Optometry. He is currently the Chairman of the Working Group of the Guild of Optometric Directors of Nigeria.
He is a lecturer at the Department of Optometry Bingham University Nassarawa State
He is a Senior Registrar at the faculty of pediatric Optometry, Nigeria Post Graduate College of Optometry.
He was the Community Optometrist of the year 2010 of Nigerian Optometric Association. He has also received awards from the Rotary Foundation for his numerous humanitarian works. He is currently a Paul Harris fellow of the Rotary International
Dr. Adesuwa is married to Rita Agbontaen and they are blessed with two children, Ehizogie and Ifueko Agbontaen.
