ALUMNI ASSOCIATION OF BINGHAM UNIVERSITY HOLDS GALA AND AWARD NIGHT.

The Alumni Association of Bingham University (AABU) held a Gala and Award Night. The highly anticipated event of the Association brought together for the very first time graduates of the University from all over the country. The Gala and Award Night was held at the NICON Luxury Hotel in Abuja.  The event featured award presentations to distinguished staff of the University, Alumnus and some Prominent Nigerians who have excelled in their various fields.

Speaking at the event, Vice-Chancellor of Bingham University, Prof. William Barnabas Qurix, OFR said he was delighted with the event and spoke on the need to partner the University for its overall Progress. Prof Qurix, said he was particularly happy with the giant strides Bingham University graduates were making in their various callings. He also spoke on the transformation the University has witnessed over the last 5years. He charged members of the association to contribute to the Endowment Fund that was recently launched so as to move the University to greater heights.

Earlier, the President of Bingham University’s Alumni Association, Assistant Superintendent of Customs, Kingsley Artimas in his welcoming address, spoke on the need for members to speak positively about the University, as that was the only way they can project the image of the University.  He added that members should work assiduously work towards promoting the University. He further welcomed all members of the Association according to the year of graduation. ASC Artimas called on members to see themselves as Ambassadors of the University and charged them to contribute their own quota to the progress and development of the University. He commended the Prof. William Barnabas Qurix led Management for the giant strides the University is making.
The highpoint of the event was the presentation of awards in the category of: Distinguished Service Award, Distinguished Alumni Award, Leadership and Societal Impact Award and National Impact Award to deserving individuals.
