Bingham University’s Zankli Research Centre has secured a research grant worth $350,000, funded by UNITAiD; led by the Population Services International (PSI), with the Society for Family Health as implementing partner. The project which is titled “Self-Testing Africa (STAR) COVID-19” will include piloting COVID-19 Self-Testing using Lateral Floor Assay of Rapid Diagnostic kits (RTDs).

The research aims to enhance COVID-19 prevention services within Nigeria Health Systems and beyond. The grant is part of a consortium with other institutions in 6 countries namely Brazil, India, Malawi, South Africa, Uganda and Zimbabwe.
