Vice-Chancellor And Team Pay Courtesy Visit To Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission, Abuja

The Vice-Chancellor Prof. Haruna Kuje Ayuba and Team paid an appreciation visit to the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) in Abuja on Tuesday, 25th of March, 2025. The team appreciated the Management of NUPRC for the donation of a grant for the construction of the Faculty of Law Library in the university.

He stated that the act demonstrated the willingness and commitment on the part of NUPRC towards the education sector in the country thereby contributing to research and training of human capital for national development.  He stated that the University’s Board of Trustees, Governing Council and Management are appreciative of the kind gesture.

 

He further assured them that the library which is under construction will be completed in record time and in accordance with the given specifications.

 

The Commission Chief Executive of Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC), Engr. Gbenga Komolafe, OFR, FNSE, and his team of Executive Commissioners gave a warm welcome to the Bingham team  and assured management of his continued partnership with the University after which he highlighted the role of the Commission and its mandate of operation for the growth of the sector and for the development of the nation.  He stated that the sector accounts for about 60% of the total national revenue. 

 

The Commission’s Chief Executive emphasized that the NUPRC is committed to the oil sector growth through the development of regulations that would create value for the country’s hydrocarbon resources through increased productivity and revenue.

 

The session was concluded with the exchange of research resources.  Other members of the Vice-Chancellors team includes, the Registrar, Mr. Daburi Bello Misal; Director of Works and Physical Planning, Arch. Dogara O. Ayenajeh; Dean Faculty of Law, and Director, Public Affairs, Ms Monica Ankeli amongst others.
