Bingham University Matriculates 925 New Intakes

Bingham University has matriculated 925 new Intakes into its various academic programs cutting across 12 faculties with a charge by the Vice Chancellor, Prof.W.B Qurix, OFR to the students to exhibit good conduct that would promote the positive image of the institution.
Prof. Qurix said, "our environment is a unique one, we are not just a conventional University, we are Christ centered ,nurturing students in the fear of the Lord".
The Vice Chancellor pointed out that the University was growing with the establishment of 21 new programmes at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels in the 2019/2020 session.
He added that the focus of the University in the last two years has been Transnational Education and Skills based learning.
In that regard, the University was currently collaborating with the University of Wolverhampton UK, Sumy State University, Ukraine and Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, UK, in the areas of faculty exchange, academic mobility and research, he said.
The Guest Speaker, Dr.Emmanuel Alhassan, who spoke on "University Education and Positive Behaviour ",stated that true education was beyond earning degrees or bookish knowledge.
He added "Education means inculcating moral values, positive thinking, attitude of helping, attitude of giving to society and ethical values that are capable of bringing positive change to society ".
Dr. Alhassan said education empowers people with knowledge ,skills and values they need to build a better world. He charged the students to imbibe attitude of positive thinking so that they get positive results in their academic pursuits. "If you are positive about things, you will think about the solution to the problem at hand rather than the problem "he added.
