COORDINATOR GENDER STUDIES UNIT DR. IGUODALA-COLE ,SPEAKS AT THE INTERNATIONAL TRANSPORT FEDERATION LEADERSHIP WORKSHOP IN MAPUTO

The Coordinator of the Bingham University Gender Studies Unit,Dr Iguodala Cole recently spoke as a guest speaker at the International Transport Federation Leadership Workshop  for Women which held in Maputo ,the capital of Mozambique,which had delegations from Mauritius,Kenya,South  Africa ,Togo, Ghana ,Tanzania and several other
countries in attendance.

She spoke on the theme,'Organising for Power:Gender Equality and Equity in the Work Place'.

Dr Cole, spoke to women from the  transport union  of their various countries which includes ILO members, Maritime transport and Aviation transport workers focusing on leadership and effective collective bargaining through advocacy for gender mainstreaming vis-a-vis female gender equity and equality through the implementation and ratification of the ILO C190  in their various countries.

The high point of the event was the award
of a certificate of recognition to Dr. Cole for her contributions to ITF Women Global and to knowledge in general.
