The International Foundation for Science (IFS), Sweden, has awarded Dr. Gabriel O. Anyanwu, Head of the Biochemistry Department at Bingham University, an additional $2,000 grant in 2025 for his ongoing research work.

According to a memo addressed to the Vice-Chancellor and signed by the Director of Research and Innovation, Prof. Istifanus S. Zabadi, the supplementary grant supports a follow-up research project titled "Evaluation of Mucuna flagellipes against pancreatic lipase and alpha-amylase activities in vitro, and against obesity-related genes in silico."

Dr. Anyanwu also received supplementary research equipment, including a Forced Air-drying Oven and two Spinning bottles, to enhance ongoing research activities among students and researchers. His previous research grant ($15,000) was awarded by IFS in 2022.

The university management has congratulated and commended Dr. Anyanwu on this research achievement.
