Naseni Pays Courtesy Visit To Vice-Chancellor, Seeks Collaboration On Renewable Energy

The National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASAENI) has paid  a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Haruna Kuje Ayuba to seek collaboration and partnership in providing renewable energy solutions.

 

Speaking during the visit, the Head of Department of Physics Dr. Omolara Oyelade of Bingham University who led the delegation to the Office of the Vice-Chancellor, stated that the delegation from NASENI were in Bingham University to seek for further collaboration with the University after a successful training programme conducted for the staff of Physics department in September 2023, which was geared towards enhancing research activities , training of staff and students and provision of solar energy solutions .

 

In her remarks, the head of the delegation, Mrs. Blessing Agbor who is the Overseeing Officer in NASENI Solar Energy Limited, congratulated Prof. Haruna Kuje Ayuba on his recent appointment as the  Vice-Chancellor of Bingham University.   Mrs. Agbor stated that his appointment as Vice-Chancellor has provided another opportunity for the university to experience growth and innovation.

She said the agency is saddled with responsibility  of design and installation of solar power systems, training, energy efficiency management, consultancy, research and solar solutions development amongst others. 

 

She further highlighted possible areas the university can benefit from their wealth of experience and expertise.  These areas include: Establishment of a Solar Panel Manufacturing Plant, Procurement of NSEL Hybrid Solar Power Trainer Equipment, and creation of a Renewable Energy Centre. 

 

Responding to the delegation, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Haruna Kuje Ayuba appreciated  NASENI for partnering with Bingham University to provide training for staff of Physics department .  The Vice-Chancellor stated that further areas  will be considered for possible collaborations. 

 

In her remarks, the Registrar, Dr. (Mrs.) Esther J. Dyaji expressed her gratitude to NASENI Solar Energy Limited for their contribution to Bingham University and society at large in providing solar energy solutions for solving national problem and pray that MoU that will be drafted will further enrich the University and NASENI Solar Energy Ltd.
