New Bingham University Students Fellowship Exco Pays Vice-Chancellor Courtesy Visit, Seeks Guidance

The Bingham University Students Fellowship (BHUSF) Led by the outgoing President, Mr. Thani Jonathan, recently paid a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Haruna Kuje Ayuba, in his office .
Appreciating the Vice-Chancellor and his management team, Mr. Thani Jonathan said he was grateful for the opportunity to serve, describing it as a rare privilege.
He explained that the delegation of the new Exco was on a courtesy visit to seek counsel and guidance to discharge their responsibilities in line with the university’s norms.
In his remarks, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Haruna Kuje Ayuba expressed satisfaction with their service and commended the outgoing Executive for their excellent performance, noting their achievements and initiatives that supported the university’s vision and aspirations. He revealed that during their tenure, a parent donated N10 million for a sound system in the chapel, while Hon. Jonathan Gbefwi Gaza donated a water project (bore-hole) to ease water challenges on campus.
The Vice-Chancellor advised the new Exco to emulate the outgoing Executive in discharging their responsibilities to the Students’ Fellowship and the university community at large, leveraging networks to make meaningful impact on the fellowship and the university.
He further advised that a leader must lead by example for others to follow, in nurturing relationships, developing skills, and maintaining consistent character. He urged the new Executive to be like-minded, speak with one voice, and share a common goal to make an impact and leave a lasting legacy.
Prof. Ayuba challenged the new Exco to be determined to make a difference, adding that they should pray and work hard for their success.
The new President of the Fellowship, Mr Emmanuel Onoja, thanked the Vice-Chancellor and management for their kind words and requested continuous guidance to succeed in their leadership roles.
The Registrar Mr. Daburi Bello Misal appreciated the outgoing BHUSF Executive for setting an example and expressed hope that the new Executive would follow the path of their predecessors. He reiterated management’s open-door policy for meaningful ideas that promote university community development.
