Sumy State University, Ukraine Seeks Further Areas Of Collaboration With Bingham University

Sumy State University,Ukraine seeks areas of further cooperation with Bingham University. This was disclosed by the Deputy Head of the institution's Department of International Affairs, Assoc.Prof Tetyana Mayboroda when she visited the Vice-Chancellor, Prof Haruna Kuje Ayuba in company of rep. Of the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce in Abuja ,Miss Olena Nedryhailo in his office recently. 

 

Asocc.Prof Mayboroda. who was very delighted to be in the University, congratulated the  Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ayuba on his appointment as Vice-Chancellor and wished him a fruitful tenure. She stated that they were in the university to explore further areas of collaboration in addition to what was currently on the table. She pointed out that Bingham University remained one of the best and vibrant universities in Nigeria Sumy State University has enjoyed collaborations with and would be glad to  consider other areas of collaboration aside Medicine and  faculty exchange. 

 

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof, Haruna Kuje Ayuba who expressed his happiness for the sustainable collaboration between the two institutions, thanked Mayboroda  for her resilience and  commitment in driving the collaborations despite the war in her country. He stated that his administration is open to further collaborations that will add value to the university.

 

Prof. Ayuba stated that management of the university will revisit the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two institutions for possible inclusion of a supplementary agreement  that will be in tandem with the guidelines appoved by regulatory bodies in the country.

On her part,the Director of Linkages and Transnational Education, Miss Monica Ankeli, commended the partnership by the two institutions over the past 6 years and wished the visiting team a fruitful stay in Nigeria. 

 

Areas considered for possible collaborations aside existing ones, include: student’s access to earning double degrees from the two institutions, postgraduate studies programmes, joint research, international conferences and public lecture participation amongst other areas. 

The Registrar, Dr Mrs Esther Dyaji and Bursar,Mr.Paul Y.Yusuf were also in attendance to receive the visitors.
