The 6Th Governing Council Of Bingham University Pays Condolence Visit To Chancellor And Esu Karu Over The Demise Of His Siblings

The 6th Governing Council of Bingham University led by the Chairman of Council, Prof. Andrew Haruna has paid a condolence visit to the Chancellor and Esu Karu, HRH. Pharm. Luka Panya Baba in his palace recently over the demise of 3 siblings some months ago. Addressing His Royal Highness, the Chairman of Council expressed his heart felt condolences to the Chancellor and the entire family over the loss of their loved ones and apologized for the delay in the visitation as a result of exigencies.
He further acknowledged and thanked the Chancellor for the immense contributions to the university. He implored the Chancellor not to relent in his effort in advising and providing needed counsel to the university management that will continue to position the university in the limelight for national development. He said that the role of traditional rulers to national development cannot be underestimated as they are the owners of the people and communities.
The Pro-Chancellor was appreciative to ECWA and the Board of Trustees of the university for entrusting him to lead the 6th Governing Council of the University as Chairman of Council which he stated has birthed the 5th Vice-Chancellor of the University. While thanking God for the last administration of Prof. Qurix, he expressed his confidence that Prof. Haruna Kuje Ayuba was going to lead the university to another level of development.
He shared his wealth of experience garnered in the university system over the years and added that one of his tasks as Chairman of 6th Governing Council is to guide and formulate right policies that will increase the university visibility and development and requested the Chancellor and Esu Karu to embrace and accord Council the needed support for the wellbeing of the university. He added that education break barriers and breeds development and has no recourse to indigeneship which has the tendencies to retard development.
Speaking and responding on behalf of the family members, HRH. Pharm. Luka Panya Baba stated that he was appreciative to the 6th Governing Council of for setting aside time to commiserate with the family over the loss of his siblings. He thanked the university community for the encouragement and support rendered to the family during the period of their grief.
He also congratulated Prof. Andrew Haruna on his appointment as the Chairman of 6th Governing Council of Bingham University and stated that the success of the university to an extent is resting upon the shoulder of Council and they should use their wealth of experience for the wellbeing of the university. He added that before the last administration, the university had witnessed turbulent times and must work assiduously through right policy formations to avert the mistake of the past as the university was now on the right path for national development as evidenced in the academic programme expansion, increase in student’s enrollment and infrastructural development.
He said that Bingham University has been known for quality service delivery through learning and moral upbringing of her graduates as a result of quality personnel. He encouraged the Council to do more and assured the Chairman and the 6th Governing Council of his support for the growth and development of the university.
Speaking earlier, the Vice-Chancellor Prof. Haruna Kuje Ayuba had stated that Council was delighted to visit the Chancellor despite management’s earlier condolence visit. He added that it was necessary for the Council to create time to commiserate with the family over the demise of their siblings.
