The Ceo Of The Light Consortium, Liverpool School Of Tropical Medicine, Pays Vice Chancellor Prof Haruna Kuje Ayuba A Courtesy Visit

Dr. Rachael Thomsom, Chief Executive Officer of the LIGHT Consortium from the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine United Kingdom, and the team from  Zankli Research Centre, Bingham University, paid Vice Chancellor Prof Haruna Kuje Ayuba a courtesy visit.

 

Leading the team, the Director of Zankli Research Centre, Dr. John Bimba, while introducing the CEO and other members of the LIGHT Consortium in Nigeria, stated that the CEO was in Nigeria to grace the symposium in commemoration of World TB Day that was being organized by the Zankli Research Centre and the LIGHT Consortium that would be held in the university.

 

Dr. Thomson expressed her delight at the warm reception from the Vice-Chancellor, congratulating him on his appointment and noting that it was her second visit to the university. She expressed satisfaction with the growing relationship between the University, the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, and the positive outcomes of collaborative research with the Zankli Research team, which was aimed at improving TB care and services in Nigeria.

 

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. H.K Ayuba, while welcoming the team, expressed delight with the visit, appreciating the CEO of The LIGHT Consortium for her congratulatory message. Prof Ayuba thanked Dr. Rachael for the partnership with LSTM, which has added value not only to the university but also to Nigeria. He added that the university looked forward to more collaboration and partnership in the future.

The visit concluded with an exchange of souvenirs, cementing the goodwill and partnership between the institutions.
