A delegation from Christian Medical and Dental Association of Nigeria (CMDA) recently paid a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor, Prof Haruna Kuje Ayuba.

Speaking on behalf of the delegation, the Chief Executive Officer, CMDA Nigeria, Prof Chima Onoka stated that the purpose of their visit was to convey their gratitude to the university for agreeing to host their forthcoming conference slated for later this year. He added that every four years, CMDA Nigeria organises a joint conference for medical students and doctors across Nigeria and beyond. The conference is designed to advance the mandate for caring for the whole man.

Prof Onoka added that CMDA Nigeria is a network of Christian Medical and Dental Practitioners that serves as a platform for nurturing medics to practice healthcare with a heart of compassion, competence and character.

Prof Chima stated that the association has supported Academic Development, training and advancement in research including training students on health care and Leadership. He further congratulated the Vice-Chancellor on his assumption of office.

In response, Prof Ayuba, representing the university, expressed appreciation for the visit and the association's congratulatory message. He affirmed the university's commitment to collaborating with CMDA Nigeria, emphasizing the shared mission of serving humanity, regardless of borders, and advancing the principles of the kingdom of God.

The visit marks a step towards fostering collaboration between academia and healthcare practitioners, with the shared goal of making a positive impact in society.
