The Jennifer Etuh Specialist Hospital Kagoro Handed Over To Bingham University

The management of Jennifer Etuh Foundation has handed over the Jennifer Etuh Specialist Hospital located in Kagoro to the Management of Bingham University.
The hospital equipped with state-of-the-art facilities was built and equipped by the Jennifer Etuh Foundation owned by a Nigerian business man and Philantophist, Mr. Thomas Etuh in honour of his late wife Mrs. Jennifer Etuh who was from Kagoro and died on the 26th of January, 2020.
The facilities in the hospital include: OPD, Consulting Rooms, Pharmacy, Antenatal, Special baby care unit, Accident Observation/Emergency Room, Ophthalmology Clinic, Diagnostic Centre, Theatre Rooms, Morgue among other facilities.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. W.B. Qurix, while speaking at the commissioning, which held at the premises of the hospital appreciated the Jennifer Etuh Foundation for believing in the capacity of Bingham University to take over and run the hospital.
He called for more investments in health care to stem the ugly trend of high maternal and infant mortality rate in Nigeria.
Prof. Qurix commended the Jennifer Etuh foundation for establishing the hospital and called for the support of all to achieve the purpose for which the hospital was established.
The Vice-Chancellor also called on the Kagoro community to do all possible to protect and preserve the edifice for the benefit of humanity.
Prof. Qurix assured the gathering that Bingham University would manage the hospital with the efficiency of a private hospital and provide services at the rates of a public hospital for the benefit of humanity.
On his part, His Royal Highness, the Chief of Kagoro, Dr. Ufuwai Bonet appreciated Mr. Thomas Etuh, the founder for establishing the Jenifer Etuh Specialist Hospital and expressed delight that this came about during his reign. He called on all to emulate the Etuh`s in effecting positive change in their various communities.
In his remarks, the chairman and founder of the Jennifer Etuh Foundation, Mr. Thomas Etuh said the vision was executed through the Jennifer Etuh Foundation as part of the wishes of his late wife, Mrs. Jennifer Etuh of blessed memory. Mr. Etuh informed the gathering that more hospitals would be established in the six geopolitical zones of Nigeria in the near future in line with the vision of the foundation.
Also speaking at the event, the ECWA President, Rev. (Dr) Stephen Baba, represented by the Vice President, Rev. Sunday Ajise equally expressed his gratitude to the Jennifer Etuh Foundation for donating the hospital to the Kagoro community and handing it to over to Bingham University to run. He assured the foundation that ECWA through Bingham University would do its best to serve humanity through this facility.
The former president of Nigeria, Dr. Goodluck E. Jonathan, who was represented at the occasion by Dr. Ayim Pius Ayim, former SGF also commended the foundation for this remarkable feat.
Dignitaries from all walks of life were in attendance at the event which included the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Council, Bingham University, Gen. (Rtd) Martins Luther Agwai.
