Transfer Of Appropriate Technology And Expertise (Taste) Seeks Partnership With Bingham University.

A foreign Non-Governmental Organization, Transfer of Appropriate Technology and Expertise (TASTE) Nigerian Country Director, Mr. Nuhu Yakubu Chayi recently visited Bingham University to seek  partnership with the university in the area of renewable energy.

Speaking during the visit, the Nigerian Country Director of TASTE, Mr. Chayi who is also an alumnus of Bingham University stated that he was delighted to be home once again.  Stating the purpose of the visit  was  to seek for ways TASTE could partner with the university in the use of renewable energy to provide clean drinking water and electricity to the University.  He stated that his organization provides modern and edge-cutting technological services in the area of waste management, provision of clean and adequate water supply using technology, solar power generation and soil  improvement techniques  for the use of agriculture amongst other areas.

He further stated that TASTE was in partnership with Windward, USA, Cozhance, UK and would be delighted if the university could partner with the organization to enhance wider reach to university community and to West Africa.

In his remarks, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Haruna Kuje Ayuba stated that he was delighted to receive him and appreciated his willingness and zeal to give back to  his university. He expressed his administration's willingness to partner with TASTE especially in the area that could enhance water and electricity supply and add value to the university.     

Prof. Ayuba who did not hesitate, requested TASTE Country Director, to immediately furnish the university with detailed information including survey and work plan, draft of Memorandum of Understanding for consideration.

A technical team was constituted by the university management to work with the Country Director and to get back to the university within shortest possible time. The technical team is being chaired by Director of Academic Planning of the university, Prof. Jerome Ihuma Obo.Members are,Director of Works,Arc Dogara Ayenajeh and Director Public Affairs, Mr.Daburi Misal.Other members are the Head Electrician and University Engineer.

The Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dul Johnson, Registrar, Dr. (Mrs.) Esther J. Dyaji and other Principal and Management staff who were in attendance commended Mr. Chayi for being  a true  ambassador of Bingham University.
