Vice-Chancellor Bingham University Appointed Into The Nigerian National Merit Award Governing Board

The Federal Government has appointed Prof.W.B Qurix, OFR, who is also the Vice-Chancellor, Bingham University, into the 7-man Governing Board of the Nigerian National Merit Award(NNMA).
The Nigerian National Merit Award is an agency under the Federal Ministry of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs,which is saddled with the primary responsibility of conferring on deserving Nigerians the prestigious Nigerian National Order of Merit (NNOM)Award for outstanding contributions to National development in areas of Science, Medicine, Engineering, Humanities/Arts and Culture among other fields.
Members of the Governing Board include:Chairman, Prof.Shekarau Yakubu Aku,North West,(Renewal);Member,Prof.Sheik Abdallah, OON,North Central, (Renewal);Member,Prof. Mohammed Hassan,North East,(Renewal);Prof. William B.Qurix,OFR,North West(Fresh Appointment);Prof. Sam Ohaegbulam,South East (Fresh Appointment) and member ,representing Federal Ministry of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs, Eng.Festus Daudu.
The appointment is with effect from 1st May 2020 and will be for a period of three years.
