The Vice Chancellor, Prof. W. B. Qurix, OFR while welcoming the Charge d’ Affaires, Mr. Serhii Yushkevich said he was delighted to receive him on campus and appreciated the support the Ukrainian Embassy to Nigeria has given  the partnership between Bingham University and Sumy State University, Ukraine.

Mr. Yushkevich in response appreciated the Vice Chancellor for driving the partnership between the two universities. He assured the Vice Chancellor of his support.

The Vice Chancellor thereafter held a round-table meeting with the Sumy State University, Ukraine partners with the Charge d’ Affaires in attendance.  After discussions, it was agreed to further strengthen partnership in terms of research cooperation, academic mobility and students exchange programmes between the two universities.

In attendance at the meeting were the Director, Sumy State University, Africa Affairs, Mrs. Tetyana Mayboroda, Representative of the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce in Nigeria, Mrs. Olena Nedryhailo, Deputy Vice Chancellor, Principal Officers of the University, Director, Academic Planning amongst others.

Olena Shkarupa, Mr. Ivan Shkaupa, Mr. Mynenko Serhii, are the four lecturers on sabbatical to Bingham University from Sumy State University. Ukraine.
