Bingham University’s Deputy Vice Chancellor, Professor Dul Johnson, Clinches 2023 Ana Short Story Prize

Prof. Dul Johnson clinches the Association of Nigeria Authors (ANA) 2023 Abubakar Gimba’s prize for Fiction covering the short stories collections.
This was unveiled at the annual prize giving ceremony which held recently in Abuja.
Amongst other awards, Prof. Dul Johnson who is a creative writer, critic and filmmaker was the winner of the 2017 fiction prize of the Association of Nigerian Authors for his work “Across the Gulf”.
Prof. Dul Johnson has won several other prizes and honors in film and television productions in the past which include the International Writers Program (IWP) Fellowship of Brown University, Rhode Island, USA, where he spent a semester working on his first novel and his ethnographic documentary film “There is nothing wrong with my uncle” amongst many other works.
Prof. Johnson, who is also the current Dean, Faculty of Arts and a Professor in the Department of English and Literary Studies is passionate to repositioning Africa by telling original African stories through films and creative literature.
