Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Haruna Kuje Ayuba Flags-Off Green Campus Initiative At The Main Campus Of Bingham University, Karu

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Haruna Kuje Ayuba alongside members of university management has flagged-off the Green Campus Initiative recently with plantation of coconut seedlings at the main campus of the university in Karu Nasarawa State.

 

Upon assumption of office, the Vice-Chancellor had shared his vision with the management to include the Green Campus Initiative (GCI)as  part of his administration's drive to add value to the system as well as to consolidate on the gains recorded by the university.

 

Speaking at the flag-off ceremony, the Vice Chancellor stated that the GCI by his administration will further enhance beautification of the campus, improve health and well-being to members of the university community, improve air and environment preservation, natural and ecosystems protection, as well serves economic benefits to the Community. 

He appreciated members of the university management, deans, directors, and heads of department for their support to the initiative.  He charged them to drive this initiative to faculties and departmental levels.

 

In his earlier remarks, Head of the Unit, Dr. Tayo Ebukum Famajoru welcomed management staff, deans and directors of the university to the take-off ceremony of GCI and expressed his gratitude to the Vice-Chancellor for flagging- off the  GCI project . He stated that the initiative was in line with this administration mandate to consolidate on the success recorded and opined that this initiative will add value to university community.

 

The Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Musa Dankyau, former Deputy Vice-Chancellors, Prof. Dul Johnson and Prof. A. B. Adelaiye, Registrar, Dr. (Mrs.) Esther J. Dyaji, Bursar, Mr. Paul Y. Yusuf and other members of management staff equally participated in the GCI coconut seedling plantation exercise.
