Bingham University Commissions Multipurpose Laboratory And Office Complex

Bingham University, has marked another significant milestone with the official commissioning of a Multipurpose Laboratory and office complex at the College of Medical Sciences, Jos campus. The facility comprises 24 offices, two laboratories each with a capacity of 150 students, a seminar room that can accommodate 80 students, and accessible routes designed for persons with physical disabilities.

 

In his remarks, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Haruna Kuje Ayuba, reaffirmed the University’s commitment to upgrading its facilities and promoting excellence. He emphasized that the new building reflects Bingham University’s vision of continuous infrastructural and academic advancement.

 

“Today’s commissioning is not just about unveiling a physical edifice but a celebration of our collective vision, dedication, and determination to improve infrastructure development,” Prof. Ayuba stated.

 

He further assured that Bingham University will, by the grace of God, remain committed to providing both students and faculty with the best possible facilities within available resources, enabling them to excel and make meaningful contributions to society.

 

Prof. Ayuba also said, the University’s mission goes beyond academic instruction—it is equally devoted to nurturing and shaping young people with the knowledge, skills, and spiritual values needed to become agents of change and globally minded citizens.

He highlighted Bingham University’s strong spiritual heritage, noting that its diverse faculty members play vital roles in mentoring and raising future leaders. The Vice Chancellor encouraged staff and students of the College of Medical Sciences to use and maintain the facility efficiently and sustainably, ensuring it serves generations to come.

 

Prof. Ayuba expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Pro-Chancellor, Prof. Andrew Haruna, members of the Governing Council, the Board of Trustees, and the entire University community for their support and commitment to the institution’s growth.

 

In his remarks the ECWA President and the Charmian Board of Trustees, Rev. Dr. Job Ayuba Bagat, expressed deep gratitude to the University management for the honour of naming the complex after him. He commended the Vice Chancellor and his team for their visionary leadership and commitment to the ideals of Christian education.

 

“This gesture speaks volumes—not just of the generosity of the institution—but of the shared vision we uphold for Christian education rooted in excellence, integrity, and service,” he stated.

 

He added that the newly commissioned complex would serve as a center for learning, research, and innovation within the College of Medical Sciences, enhancing the University’s capacity to deliver quality medical education and research outcomes.

The Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Council, Prof. Andrew Haruna, expressed his delight at being part of the event. He stated that he fully aligns with the vision of the University’s leadership and the ECWA mandate. Prof. Haruna also appreciated the Chairman of the Board of Trustees for granting the Council the freedom to operate effectively, as well as the University Management for their continuous support and cooperation.

 

The Provost of the College of Medical Sciences, Prof. Haroun Isah, commended the ECWA President and the Vice Chancellor for their exceptional leadership and the remarkable progress being recorded in the institution. He described the commissioning of the laboratory as “a dream come true” as the MDCN has requested this for a while. He pledged that the facility would be put to good use and properly maintained.

The edifice was officially commissioned by the ECWA General Secretary, Rev. (Dr.) Ayuba Asheshe. He thanked the leadership and appreciated everyone present.

 

The event was widely described as a reflection of Bingham University’s steady advancement in infrastructure, academic development, and commitment to its Christian mission of producing graduates who embody excellence, faith, and service to humanity.
